I think Amazon Prime is great but as I travel a lot it was annoying and frustrating that I could not view the films and TV shows included in my membership when I was out of the country.

My Prime account is with Amazon.co.uk and so because of those weird copyright, distribution laws or whatever if I'm ouside the UK I get an Error Message. Why?

The same applies, I'm sure, if you got your Amazon Prime membership in the U.S. for example. Or maybe you live in Canada and can't access US Amazon Prime at all.

The solution I use now is having some software installed on all my computers that basically lets me access the internet via computer servers based in whatever country I choose.

So wherever I am in the world I set the software to route me via a 'server' - think telephone exchange - that is in the UK.

So I can now watch Amazon Prime or Instant Movies as the Amazon.co.uk site perceives me as being in the UK. Problem solved.

If I was a US based customer I'd pick a server based in the United States.
